About Ayanda
I was born and raised in Lancaster City, where I am proud to say: “This is where I come from.” I have always had a passion for giving back to my community and becoming a mentor to the younger population. In 2015, at 17 years old, I decided to leave Lancaster and travel to Lock Haven University to continue my academic and athletic career. In 2019, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice as well as my bachelor’s in social work degree. My ultimate goal was to come back to Lancaster and serve my community. After graduation, I returned to my alma mater (JP McCaskey High School), as the Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Since graduation, I have also obtained my master’s degree in Social work at Millersville University and become a mentor to First Generation Students, like myself. Becoming the Case Manager at Bench Mark allows me to work closely with students to provide mentorship, guidance, and resources to better their future. I am looking forward to seeing how my education, expertise, and passion calibrate with Bench Mark Program, to help elevate this amazing vision. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention one of my greatest roles in life: Yes I am the sister of Kiki Jefferson.
